This is a live recording of the finalised composition of our untitled song. It is more developed than our last recording. This time the song has a more developed structure and I have developed my own part. I was originally the only guitarist in this piece, so I was trying to write a guitar part that contributed both melodically and rhythmically to the song. However, since then Jo has written a lead part for the song which covers the melodic side which means I am able to focus more on rhythmic playing to thicken up the sound. To start with I added more strums and choppy chord changes to the verse part to help emphasise the drum beat opposed to the combination of strums and arpeggios that I was playing before. In the chorus section I also stopped playing arpeggios on the chords as there was a solo guitar line which was more melodically interesting, which meant I was able to adopt a strumming pattern to again thicken up the sound. The biggest change to this song is the key change bridge section which I wrote by picking around the C and D chords, which I picked after discovering they flow nicely into the last chorus. I adopted these changes by playing along with the band. We also decided as a group to add in a final run through the intro riff as an outro
The structure of the song is
Intro (same as before)
Verse (where I added the more rhythmic chords) Chorus (I removed the arpeggios here)
Verse
Chorus
Bridge (the key change section that still keeps to playing the I and II chord of the key)
Chorus (same section)
Outro (Intro riff)
